Because The New Head Witch is the second half of A Cry Of Canvases, I’m being super lazy and just dumping the same thing I said for A Cry Of Canvases as the intro paragraph.
A Cry Of Canvases, the first book – now retired – is an intoxicating new young adult-fantasy series about witches, wizards, fairies, and mermaids – who once lived in harmony – are now on the verge of inter-racial war as tensions raise, their common governemnt – The Communion – falls apart from the inside, the ruling pharaohs are fighting each other on the insides of space and time, and an anicent evil has returned.

WHAT WAS THE CANVAS CURSE ABOUT?
Glad you asked.
Basically, some guy (Drake) who survives a plane crash ends up washing onto an island infested with zombies, who are all being controlled by a group of very unhappy magicians (a coven of witches and fairies combined.) And because the coven is so miserable, a few of the memebers use the arrival of this “Drake” fellow to distract their head witch and rip apart the zombie fleet (they break the curse keeping the zombies zombies — that being the canvas curse, as the zombies happen to be the island’s former residents who had their souls stolen from them and tossed into paintings.)
Basically, the whole coven falls apart from the inside. And then there’s the other question on everyone’s mind. What happen to the Communion and the Worlds they’re all from? As the Communion really was supposed to be getting back into contact with the Coven, a very long time ago, and its been a few decades now… And the island’s kind of falling into chaos and anarchy, which the Coven had originally tried to stop, years ago, and where is the Communion? Why haven’t they returned? Why aren’t they stepping in to take control of this awful situation.
Will I republish it?
