ROTTEN APPLE, A LOVE STORY, SORT OF….
Rotten Apple a romantic-comedy about a teacher who gets caught in the middle of scandolous affair with one of her high school students. Because of it, she loses her job, her credibility, her marriage and her family of two kids. And from then on, the whole story follows how Carina Flutter (our main character) deals with her messy situation and figures out how to fight back.
Rotten Apple is the book I’m most proud of.
The original target market was readers of womens fiction and other readers of spicy erotica, but I sold and marketed the book completely wrong.
And I think the majority of the problem was the name and the cover.
“Rotten Apple” was meant to be a quirky little reference twist on the old clique about how teachers are given apples by their students, and how Carina was a bad (or rotten) teacher (apple,) but I kind of forgot to make reference to that very small and yet incredibly important detail. My bad.
And I think the cover looks stunning, personally, but it doesn’t accuratly represent what the story is about unless you look into the whole deep meaning of it.
Review by Maria Weeks.
I’m so thankful that Maria wrote such a great review, without it, I probably wouldn’t have had the confidence to continue on!
WILL I REPUBLISH IT?
I certainly hope to. It’s on my list of things to do. The name and cover will be different though and obviously the pen name. I’ll be publishing it under Zakky MC. To make sure you know about it when I re-release it, follow my blog using your email address.
